Abstract
Engineering organizations have to be able to communicate a diverse range of information internally and with suppliers, subcontractors, customers and regulators. They also have to ensure that this information is available and understandable over time, both for legal reasons and – in long-lived product-service offerings – to maintain and upgrade the product over its life. Information curation is a collective term for all these activities: keeping information fit for contemporaneous use, now and in the future. This presentation provides some general advice on information curation practices, both tried-and-tested and cutting-edge.
